Seminar on Understanding EU Regulatory Compliance For Rubber Gloves
On 10 June 2025, the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA) successfully organised a seminar titled Understanding EU Regulatory Compliance for Rubber Gloves at Akademi Hevea Malaysia, Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The seminar received strong participation, with over 110 members in attendance.
Dr. Amir Hashim, Chairman of the MARGMA Technical Sub-Committee, opened the seminar by welcoming participants and emphasising the importance of staying up to date with evolving European Union regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of the glove manufacturing industry.
Three expert speakers from SATRA—Mr. Martin Heels, Ms. Emma Norris, and Ms. Renuka Priyangi—delivered a total of four technical presentations. The sessions aimed to enhance participants’ understanding of the CE certification process, covering application procedures, maintaining certificate validity over the five-year period, and the steps required for renewal.
The seminar also provided in-depth insights into key glove standards, testing protocols, and marking requirements. Participants were briefed on anticipated updates to relevant standards expected by the end of 2025.
The event was highly interactive, featuring dynamic Q&A sessions that encouraged active participation and deeper engagement.
