On 8 July 2025, the Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association (MARGMA) successfully organised a webinar titled “SST Revisions – Key Impacts on Rubber Glove Manufacturers”. The session provided an overview of the latest changes and feature expert insights on how manufacturers can navigate the evolving SST landscape.
In the 2025 Budget on 18 October, the MADANI Government announced major revisions to Malaysia’s Sales and Service Tax – effective 1 July 2025. Sales-tax rates will rise on a broader range of non-essential and luxury goods while the scope of Service Tax will expand significantly. The Finance Ministry projects these changes will generate an additional RM 5 billion in revenue.
