MARGMA 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024

MARGMA 36th Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2024 & Seminar Talks was successfully held at One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya on 27 April 2024, Saturday. The event recorded strong participation with a total of 117 delegates in attendance, including 46 ordinary member-companies (exercising voting rights), 22 local associate member companies and 2 foreign associate member companies.

Prior to the formal proceedings, MARGMA hosted an insightful seminar featuring expert presentations from distinguished industry and government representatives. Mr. Wong from Crowe KL Tax Sdn Bhd presented topic of ‘Malaysia’s Progressive Transfer Pricing Rules’ and Mr. Christian Schriver from Preferred by Nature shared the overview on ‘EU Deforestation Regulation – Exploring Latest Interpretations & Updates’. Last but not least, Mr. Mohammed Faisal Mohd Shokri, Officer from the Trade Practices Section, Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) shared on the topic ‘Trade Remedies’.

Following the seminar, members actively engaged in discussions, raising pertinent concerns and seeking clarifications on agenda items. The assembly then proceeded to vote on proposed resolutions The AGM concluded with MARGMA President delivering closing remarks and expressing appreciation to all participants for their valuable contributions.
