THE HOST CITY-KUALA LUMPUR
Kuala Lumpur (known affectionately to many as KL), is the capital city of Malaysia. Its modern skyline is dominated by the 451 meters tall Petronas Twin Tower, packed with historical monuments from the British colonial-era, steel cladded skyscrapers, lush parks and mega-sized shopping malls.
KL is a bustling metropolis of diverse races, religions and cultures. The city is a melting pot of ethnic and cultural diversities.
The Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) is Malaysia’s main international airport, with good international airline connectivity to most major cities in the world. The KLIA is situated just 45 minutes from the city centre.
Major airlines flying into KLIA include Malaysian Airlines, SIA, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Air France, Lufthansa, Thai International, Eva Air, Etihad, China Airlines, China Eastern, China Southern, British Airways and etc.
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), currently the most technically advanced international conference and exhibition centre located in the heart of KL, will be the venue for the 8th IRGCE 2016.
The KLCC is surrounded by major international hotels – the Mandarin Oriental, the Traders Hotel, the Grand Hyatt, the Novotel, the Prince, the Shangri-La, the JW Marriot and the Westin.
